Philosophy

We believe that guidance should be done in a positive, gentle way to maintain a child’s sense of self-esteem. We recognize that children are unique and special and that they have specific needs and considerations. The goal is for children to become self-disciplined so that they are aware of ways to handle different emotions and situations. We strive to provide a fun, rich environment that is constantly changing. We believe that a strong parent/teacher/child relationship is very important in the success for everyone. Communication is always open.

What is Reggio Emilia learning?

The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy and pedagogy. This approach is a student-centered

and constructivist self-guided curriculum that uses self-directed,

experiential learning in relationship-driven environments. The program is based on the principles of respect, responsibility and community through exploration, discovery and play

What is Play based learning?

Learning through play is a term used in education and psychology to describe how a child can learn to make sense of the world around them. Through play children can develop social and cognitive skills, mature emotionally, and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences and environments. Key ways that young children learn include playing, being with other people, being active, exploring and new experiences, talking to themselves, communication with others, meeting physical and mental challenges, being shown how to do new things, practicing and repeating skills and having fun.

About Taylin Childcare

Hello! I'm Caylee. Taylin Childcare was established in March 2020. With over 15 years of experience as an early childhood educator, I hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education along with certifications in Special Needs and Infant Toddler care. I have worked in various centers with diverse learning approaches before launching my own center. I am excited to apply my knowledge and passion for child growth and development through my own establishment. The name "Taylin" is inspired by my children's names—Taylor and Linden.

Before opening my first center, I owned and operated Taylin Threads, a clothing line for kids. I eventually closed that business to focus on my goal of creating inclusive, high-quality licensed childcare centers.

Providing equal childcare with exceptionally qualified staff is a top priority for me. My team undergoes rigorous training during the hiring process and continues their education while working with Taylin. Regular workshops and conventions are essential to stay informed about the ever-evolving childcare landscape. I believe that every child matters, each has a unique way of learning, and may require different teaching approaches. Establishing a loving, nurturing, and calm environment is where children thrive best. Building relationships with clear boundaries, validating feelings, and ensuring that children feel a sense of belonging is crucial.
